Why dont Nikon just put a FF sensor in a D3300 body? In my case it would kill all my interest in any mirrorless system in a second.. But it better be released soon before I sell all my lenses and go looking elsewhere..

For the same reason no one makes six seater motorcycles.

Mirror box, prism, etc. are much too small.

Happy camera hunting in Never Never Land.

Heck the d800 is so small I had to add a battery grip to be able to hold the little thing steady!!!  I keep hearing this size and weight thing, it really surprises me.  I hope the d810 is not to much lighter or smaller than the d800.

Perfect size even without a grip.

My D800E increases in weight the longer I carry it. After a day of shooting it is quite heavy.

Robin I won't tell you my age ugh!!!  But I am older than father time ha ha!!!!  One other reason why I add the battery grip is for faster frame rate with a d4 battery and better balance on a tripod using a long lens (500mm).

I have found that the less we do physically as we age, our bodies weaken very fast.  I am still doing heavy construction with lots of lifting.  I use to run marathons and raced as a master on the track.

Come on guys, get with it haha!!!

Even if they could, real photographers don't the teeny little kid hands that can only fit the D3300!

How do you like them apples?

I agree.  I would not like a smaller version of the D800.  I have a D300 and borrowed a friend's D3 for a trip to Namibia and did not have an issue with the size and weight.  For carrying it all day through a wedding day carrying the camera and a hefty lens, I would prefer a D300/D700 sized camera though.  One needs sufficient size to hold it securely for a long time and to have sufficient area for all the buttons.  I am also past retirement age (though still working full time) and going to the gym regularly, helps!
