at last, a shot of yours without some hidden puzzle, or a composition i cant fathom out.

i really like this low light shot, and the fact that them doing their stretching exercises is probably a lot more interesting compositionally than a shot of them actually dancing.

its beautiful sir

Really nice shot, shame the M9 has such appalling ISO performance.

I was wondering why you chose to include the strong white "cut-outs" of the windows along the top edge of the frame.  I found that rather a discordant element that only seems to detract from the composition by dragging your eye off the top of the photograph...

i would be intrigued to know how to lose the windows without removing the girl on the right and the edge of the crop resting on the other girl on the right.

or did you mean cloning the windows out??

i must admit, to me the windows are part of the image and dont take my eye off the edge of the image, they show me where the light that falls on the girls is coming from.

I tried cutting off the mirror to the right, to make this less narrow, but I think it works better the way Irakly presented it

this already had a significant crop (unless stitched as a pano, which I doubt) & the light is what gives this photograph vitality to me along with the diversity of actions from each dancer

dancers make for grand photographic subjects, but often ply their art in challenging photographic circumstances

good to see Detroit thru your lens, Irakly

Joe, the window is a part of a composition. I don't want to dive into theory, but believe me, without it the picture would have no rhythm.

I was interested that you chose to place it as a "cut-out" from the edge of the frame, whereas a more classical composition might have included the complete window within the frame. Maybe we should have a bit more theory, and delve into things a bit more deeply, rather than just saying "Marvellous" all the time.

No rhythm? Well, it would certainly have a different rhythm...

Thanks for the reply.

I meant the shot looks a little noisy and flat, a bit like underexposed film.

Did you add grain in post or is that how the files look naturally?
