Thanks for clarification ! I have been wondering what the American Standard had to do with the toilet ! ....of course, I immediately thought the poster said that the "american standard" quality was up to $hit !

...fortunately not !

Thanks!

But back to strict topic... maybe a lens with floating elements?

Do you mean that now that KR entered the game, there's no fun anymore ?

Talking $hit became "normal" ???

Sorry about that but someone had to. For those that do not know, he does take a lot of restroom shots!

Doesn't Matter
In reply to JP Scherrer, Apr 30, 2014

It doesn't matter what lens you take, just be sure to keep your aperture tight until you're ready to take the shot.

This is like teaching second grade and wondering why you need to explain cursive to your students every year. "There are enough of people that can write cursive, just ask them!"

Any sit and sh*t will do.

I have been figuring out which pocket zoom camera to get. Really, there are lots and lots of good postings from real live, adult users.  Of course, there are idiot smartzedonks as well but nothing is easier than ignoring them.  It seems that once you pay 500 dollars it is pretty much a question of vanilla or chocolat, taste that is. The camera will be more advanced than its user.
By far the best bang for the buck one gets buying postcards or picture books by people who have spent a long time on the site, waiting for the perfect light and weather and having got the necessary documents for using a tripod in the museum.

Modern digital cameras are not primarily bought to take pictures. They are sold to make money.

We're the suckers.

I sold my fisheye lens to a gadgethead who was sure it was a great choice for his underwater photography. Sure enough, the lens was for sale 2 weeks aftwerwards.

Worse still are the Rich Dentist Threads.

Ha! Cheers, JP.  I don't know what took me so long to think of it, seems so obvious.

PS, your shots of the Geneva Ice storm are outstanding. You obviously took the correct lens.
