PS. there is some serious dust on the left side of your sensor. Two large spots, which needs to be wet cleaned.  I'll cleaned it of on the picture, but it was pretty visible.

I do like it. Detail rendering seems very good, but I do see some artefacting.

I seem to be struggling with LR5 as well.  Here's what I came up with... I feel like something's off but I can't quite put my finger on it?  Is it that watercolor effect that everyone else is bitching about maybe?  Hm...

Alex

OMG it's the ghost of the ISO 6400 waxy skin haunting your Fuji!

RFC EV -4, -3, -2, -1, 0 + Oloneo PhotoEngine Stack

Looks too dark posted here, but a faux HDR may provide an alternative.

The diffraction at f 13 limits any attempt to improve this image.

A ND filter would be useful for this sort of work.

This looks very nice.  I like the clouds and how straight the buildings are.

Did a colour balance change to Daylight/Flash and a distortion correction (not quite a full upright correction as I wanted to keep as much image as possible)

Also a couple of graduated filters: One for the sky exposure and one for the buildings colour balance

LR 5.3 (I haven't managed to get my work Mac updated to 5.4 quite yet)

Lovely shot though, well done!

For the accurate colors - AccuRaw
In reply to hellocrowley, 6 months ago

If you really need a well controlled image - there is also AccuRaw

A rather slow tool - but the results are what they say - accurate

AccuRaw - just very simple adjustments - capable of more than this

Second attempt
In reply to NZ Scott, 6 months ago

Hmm. I had another crack at it to tame the blown-out areas around the lightning on the right-hand side. I did this by pulling back Whites and Highlights in the Basic tab. I also tweaked the White Balance just a touch:

Thought I would give it a shot too!

Processed in SP and then LR 4 applying a VSCO film emulation.
