WOW - maxed out on posts last week ! You keep amazing me with the creative photos, keep 'em coming !!

Post your "Artistic" shots, no need for realism! Things that have caught your eye, or things you have created.

Please post your "Artistic" shots - any camera, any time, even old film shots / scans.

Please reply to this first post and change the subject line at the top to reflect YOUR picture, so replies will indicate what picture is being commented on, sometimes it gets a bit confusing

My daughter had a boyfriend in Sydney and his parents have a place near the town of Broke.

They usually only got there in the evening, in his little blue Morris Minor, and the guy had a friend who painted this.

I couldn't take the PAINTING, so I took this IMAGE and cleaned it up in Photoshop:

A sort of unique artistic style, IMHO

The owners let us have the place for a long weekend prior to our first venture into the "never-never" (outback), back in 1997. "Just leave the key under the rock we showed you."

What a privilege to spend time as if we owned the place in this wonderful part of the world!

Photography is more than a medium for factual communication of ideas. It is a creative art.

Pocket size locomotive
In reply to carizi, 5 months ago

Here is a "pocket size" locomotive at the railroad museum at Hyvinkää. It is though a real steam locomotive. (Unfortunately I didn't notice the info label, so I can't tell what it has been used to)

best regards

Tidal Basin, Washington DC Cherry Blossoms

After 50 odd years, I have become rather blasé about the cherry blossoms. I was actually downtown at Nordstrom's  buying shoes. The I realized it would be criminal to not go down and look at the trees.

I converted this one to B/W with a red filter and got this almost IR look. Shot with the ZS15.

(I have been away from the Forum for too long - my hubby has been and still is ill - but, I am trying to as he say "get away from the sickroom" more often.)

Erik,

Thanks again for your thread.  How about another colored sketch effect from my FZ150.

Erik,

I agree -- a unique artistic style.  And the kangaroos in the lower right corner are appropriate and cute.

Taken with my ZS40 then some PP.

PS That’s a very attractive painting Erik. There’s a very pleasant naive art quality to it. They must have crimson rosellas in the area, and I would say it’s just as well to have the kangaroos behind the car and not in front.

These are both great shots and I'm not sure which one I like better. Those are amazing patterns and you did a nice job of capturing them.
