Fixing a cracked screen on the X-T1 costs..

Only $174.20 (with tax)!

Finally got my camera checked out by the lead technician and got a phone call back!

They eliminated the labor costs because it was originally there for the light leak issue.

I am totally impressed with Fuji customer service!!

Be glad it was not a Leica!    Costs a small fortune and probably would take months.

You guys have a different definition of cheap to me. And that cost was without labour...

Well.. knowing how much an iPhone screen costs to fix and that this is a new camera for me, $174.20 is more than reasonable!

I think they're the ones feeling grateful, for your custom. :-). I'm afraid I'd feel well and truly ripped off.

No worries, my fault for the damage, so I'm taking this as a learning lesson.

Is there much point? It's only $174 to fix!

Plus labor --- unless the camera is already in for light leak repair.

Glad to hear it was a reasonably priced repair.  So far I'm really liking Fujifilm USA repair service.

Was curious:  how did you manage to crack your screen?

Did you have any sort of screen protector?  If not, would a screen protector help?

I made a post a few days ago, but when hiking in the Smoky Mountains, the wind picked up my camera attached to my tripod & blew them over..

I had a Micro Solutions screen protector on it, but didn't help.

Yes, I have a ACMAXX on my X-Pro1. So I'll go for that one!
