Re: Olympus Lensbook/2014

Me too. A nice surprise.

Somehow I ended up with two free battery grips and MMF-3 adapters as well.

One was received about 3 months after the first one.

I'm now waiting for my first free E-M1

Received mine yesterday. It is very nice and there are some excellent images in it taken with a variety of m4/ 3rds lenses.

Yep, very nice. I have not seen one in the mail, but there's a stack of 'em in the free literature stand at Arlington Camera. Too bad they printed it just early enough the upcoming 40-150mm f2.8 is not listed, but it's a very nice piece for the M. Zuiko lens system.

From those commenting, it sounds like this might be a UK-only item?

Nope, Arlington Camera in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex had about 8-10 of them left on the free literature stand as of late Saturday.

Are we talking about the same item? Here in the UK we have recieved a proper high quality hardback book from Olympus in Germany. It is not a freebie catalogue and therefore I cannot imagine them being given away as you state in a store.

Please post a picture of what you have seen.

Wrong information. Letter that came with book states: "Thank you again for purchasing the OM-D E-M1, and your participation in our campaign." (Translated from finnish to english by Google Translate.) So I think it is send to those who bought E-M1 during HLD-7 and MMF-3 promotion.

So. . . it's either a nice catalog, or a book of inspirational m4/3s photos, depending on where you live!

Re: Olympus Lensbook/2014

Mine arrived today (in France). It came with a letter (in French) which contains a reference to the E-M1 promotion. The letter also mentions the delay some of us experienced in the shipment of the complimentary grip and/or MMF-3 adapter. I would think the "Lensbook/2014" is sent to European customers only.

The book here is not a hardback. The front and back covers are a much ticker paperstock from the typical camera/lens brochures. It's a very nice full-size (little bigger than letter-size) books with great color pages for each of the Micro Zuiko lenses with sample images, but it's not a hardback. I've tried finding an electronic copy of it online and cannot find it.
