Mirror lockup with timer on d610?
1

I've been lurking for a while now so I figured I better just join.  What a great site!

Am I missing something or isn't there a way to use the timer and mirror lockup on the d610?  I don't have a remote release yet being a cheapskate.  Anyone have a work around or am I just dense and missing something obvious? Thanks for the responses!

You can get a remote on ebay for around £5

interesting answer. i have a remote myself but would much rather use the self-timer if i can. and, yes, the d610 (and d600) can do what the OP asked. this web page says it's d4 on the d610, it's d10 on the d600. works well:

Exactly what I was hoping for. Costs nothing and nothing else to carry

Thank you frank-in-Toronto.
