The Nikon lens sale is over, so what did you buy?

It was the 85mm 1.8G that I couldn't resist. I'll be selling my 85mm 1.8 AF to make up part of the cost.

I got a brand new 70-200mm f/4 for about 1100 USD which is very cheap in my part of the world :-D!

The new 80-400 G. And I am NOT sorry. A week after buying this lens I also purchased the D7100 for the reach.

Nothing ...

... saving my money (I'm retired on a limited budget) for a Nikon body upgrade to the D300/D7100 or an upgrade to the V2 - whichever would be better and has the best upgrade features (whether that happens is an ongoing debate which needs NOT be rehashed here again.)

Was very tempted to go for the 80-400G but I already have a 300/2.8 VR1 and a 70-200 f/4 VR with TCs. I don't have many lenses but I have enough to do what I like to do most of the time.

Sold my Sigma 35 1.4 and picked up the 28 1.8g and 50 1.8g(again).

Just got them yesterday and haven't had time to shoot anything yet but I like the feel of the Nikon 28 1.8g mounted on my D600 over the Siggy. So as long as the IQ is somewhat close(and from researching it looks like it), I'll be happy with the move.

I bought the 50 because it's so damn cheap and all though it's not my favorite lens, it was nice to have when I did need it.

For the record, I do think today is the last day for the sale.  I know Amazon still has the sale pricing going.

The 16-35 F4 for landscape, travel, and vacation.  I've been wanting one and the discount made it a no brainer.  Next on the list is a large aperture 35mm for out to dinner, indoor, and other get togethers.

AF-S 80-400mm G!!!!! Wonderful lens on my D7000. $400 discount was too tempting.

I ordered couple of lenses 85 1.8G and the Wide Angle 16-35 f4. Still on backorder from B&H. I think they are great prices with rebates

Re: The Nikon lens sale is over, so what did you buy?

Bought a 50 f/1.8G finally! Hopefully I get it sometime next week. They are out of stock from Adorama but their website says they're getting a shipment next week. Can't wait to see how it performs.

Re: The Nikon lens sale is over, so what did you buy?

I got the 80-400mm g. I didn't think they were going to offer this lens since it was only a year old but at $400 off I got it on the first day of the sale since I've been saving for it for a while.

To the other poster I believe the sale ends on March 1 (today) end of day as it still on B&H website. Last year they did extend it through the end of March but who knows if they'll do it this year....guess we'll find out tomorrow.

Re: The Nikon lens sale is over, so what did you buy?

Looks like the rebates got extended until at least March 29th from what Murphy's Camera is saying. Not sure why this isn't March 31st but at least it gives people some more time to decide.

80-400mm G it replaces the 80-400mm ED I have. What a difference! Now I need to sell the older one.
