SX50 ISO 25600 Shot

Hi friends,

I was going through sx50 photos on 500px and came across these 2 remarkable , clean images at ISO 25600. I am just amazed at the clarity and low noise in these photos. What could have been the shooting technique for this shot.?

ISO, like aperture, is basically a hardware feature: although the CHDK allows big scale variations, they are not actually true.

I was doing some comparison ( not very scientific)  between SX50 and 60D but was amazed to see the results. SX50 for that small sensor it does a really good job with high ISO.

Sure it looks clean in that resolution, but down sampling will reduce noise a lot. I don't see how we can really judge noise from a down sampled image.

I also used the cheap ( 70-300mm) lens in 60D. I am sure the glass plays major role in IQ of any DSLR. Bottom line, the latest bridge cameras provide good value for the money.The cost of SX50 is less than any cheapest 70-300mm canon IS lens available.

We can expect much better bridge cameras in the future.
