X-T1 - First test shots

No time to RTFM, or really set up the camera - just threw in a battery and an SD card, set the film type to Velvia, and hit the road.

Very happy

Thank you!

SOOC JPEGs - I just put a tiny black frame on each one in PS before reducing size for web, and saving at max quality

Sensor looks like it's as good as ever, the tracking looks really solid.

I'd love to know when the UK pre-orders are arriving, gonna be a while yet I think. What lovely anticipation!

Does the evf work like a optical buy staying in focus or does it go in and out of focus when taking a picture?

Thanks for taking the time to do the first impressions and answer questions!

The tracking shots look good.

If you have a chance, I'd be very interested to hear/ read your thoughts on the AF response with regards to tracking slightly more erratic subjects. (I'm hoping Fuji will be usable as an airshow body - if not the X-T1, then maybe the next gen body - once they have the super-tele zoom or maybe a prime or three).

The EVF shows what ever the camera is focussed on, no other option on EVF!

The EVF did allow me to look directly into the sun on this crane shot, which would not have been possible/advisable using an OVF
