Focus on construction

If one keeps at it, eventually it starts shaping up (getting the desired focus that is - the hand work here doesn't need any help). Available light, resized in Viewer 2.

Re: Focus on construction

Ok, here is the question, how much of what your wife sews in hand stitched?  I was looking for evidence in the image of machine stitching but didn't see it.  On the other hand have had less than 2 h sleep in the past two days so maybe I am just not seeing it.  Well captured.  35 mm macro?

Have to wonder Monty, how much longer the Royal York can hang on in he midst of all the new buildings.

Decided to be an E1 day today

I really should take it with me more often!

Then again I already look like a right pratt with a double sling rig on walk-a-bouts as it is

Some Slideshows of a wee bit of my work, more to be added if I ever sort out my music rights issues.

Re: 50 Hudson Super Wasp

A lot of the glitz and glamour has vanished from cars these days especially in Europe. Long time since I heard 'Paradise by the Dashboard Lights' by Meat Loaf. Think I will give it a blast later.Oh to be young again.

The birds are sharp and detailed.  Like the first, but would clone out the small pile!

Nice house, part of a garden exhibit?  I am guessing these are our equivalent to spring shots.  Very nice and given the weather we have had this winter make the anticipation of spring yet to come more acute.

All very nice Dave.  The first is very attractive.  Your motorized bike I assume.  Here the sign on the gate would say "Private Property, Keep Out!".

Andrew, I asked. The amount of hand work depends on the piece. There is construction handwork (basting etc.) and then finish work. My view is that there’s a lot of hand work because that’s most of what I see (because the machine work goes quickly perhaps). Perceptions don’t always match up.

More snow so decided to do some comparisons while the sleeves are taken out and redone. (Using the ZD 25, 35 and 12-60.)

ZD 25 - before sleeves are taken out.

ZD 25

ZD 35

ZD 12-60

More clarification – most of the construction is done on the machine, most of the time is spent on hand work.
