FZ200 Macro pics

Thought I would post a few macro pictures. Still trying to get the hang of this new camera. The first couple are straight from the camera. The last few are with a Nikon 4T closeup lens.

It looks like the 4T is going to work pretty good on this camera. It seems a lot easier to focus on this one than it did on my FZ7.

Nice images, Jim.

Your off to a good start, with the FZ200 !

Really like that last shot , showing good contrast and details, as well as i like the composition.

I had a 6T macro lens, and regret selling it.

The second post, with one image...my my, that looks familiar???

Looks like something I bought my Niece quite a few years ago.

Name start with a F ?

Looks like I will be getting the FZ200 and macro is of interest. I looked at the 4T Nikon closeup lens and read it is 52mm thread. I thought the FZ200 is 55mm thread. If so did you use a step down? If not how is it fitted.

TIA

Hello Dennis,

The FZ200 has a 52mm front thread.

I have a Nikon 6T from my film days -- it's 62mm threaded, so I use a 52-62mm stepup ring.

The Nikon achromats are wonderful lenses.

Hi Richard,

Thanks! I thought I read 55mm in the DPReview on the FX200 but could have easily been confused!

It looks like the FZ200 is in my future. My wife will use it the most and she needs some standoff on macro work. The Nikon closeup lenses have a good rep and I like it fitting directly.

Thanks again.

It's a wonderful asset.
The 4T is 2.9 diopters, resulting in a magnification of 1.87:1 at 600mm with a working distance of about 1 foot
Although I rarely use that much magnification, it is more than the normal 1:1 on my 45mm f/2.8 m4/3 lens.
