And let me add that I've been to Melbourne twice: In 2010 there were tons of coffee shops but I can't say that I remember so many ten years earlier. We're allwired now!

Yes, there's been  real explosion. A recent report showed that Melbourne City (as opposed to the Greater Melbourne area) now has more place to eat and/or drink than retail establishments. I suppose that says something about our priorities considering it used to be a retail , business and banking hub.

I really enjoyed perusing your Zenfolio site. Some inspirational photos there. Yo have a very interesting vision.
