HUGE rave for A7R/A7 Camera bag
2

Hi all,

I think my quest for a nice stylish and functional camera bag for every day use has FINALLY been found. So tired of boxy, clunky unattractive shoulder bags.. this is perfect for girls and boys... but I think men have so many choices already anyway. Worth having a look for those looking for a simple everyday solution to carry camera and one lens (I don't like de-attaching lens from camera but if you did you could fit more!)

Good quality material and the leather touches look classy. I can wear this out in the evenings and still look stylish and innocuous which is particularly handy as I'm currently practicing indoor low light no flash photography. Thanks for reading!!

ps- I am not affiliated with the company in any way.

Looks nice. I use the Billingham Hadley Pro for the A7 kit. For just a smaller set the Hadley small works very well also.

I've got that bag as well. Excellent bag for the money! Highly recommended.

It doesn't scream "camera bag", has decent protection without being overpadded, plus the "smoke" color looks pretty classy.

My Christmas present from my wife is the The Bowery truffle color.

IMHO that looks far too much like a ladies handbag for my taste (and I hate even holding my wife's for her briefly).

I have the brown antique leather one as my fancy bag. I saw it at WPPI last year and fell in love with it before it was released.

There's also Domke bags:

My gripe with domke is their label in front otherwise I do like their quality and design.

I dont like the idea of having to cut off branding when its not a cheap bag to begin with and domke label just screams "I have a nice expensive small camera with me, please rob me"

I agree. The label is just too conspicuous.  Thankfully, it's a 5 min job to remove it.

I think it's hilarious that these are camera bags, yet the photos are wildly inaccurate - at least as far as color is concerned.  Field Tan looks great...  but in the outdoor pic, it looks like a light green, yet the studio shots make it look tan.  Which is right?

That being said...  it looks like a fantastic bag.  Does an A7 with a kit lens really fit in that bag?

I have a7R with 35mmf2.8 and that still leaves good 4 inches above which should accommodate the kit lens. The all leather version of this is really nice too of you are that way inclined. The black really looks like a very dark navy because of the material in person.

Lightroom. Nothing too fancy...I have the Nik plugin suite as well but mainly only use that for B&W conversions.

I love this no frills bag. I carry my camera every day and commute by train into downtown San Fran. I shoot before and after work. I used to carry a A77 with a 50mm 1.4 ZA but now switch to the A7 for my everyday camera. This is the best bag I've ever used for commuting with a camera. It has a spot inside the bag for a tablet too.  Buy it now!

Yep, that's a real girly bag. No doubt. And a very nice girly is modelling it.

Go to a Billingham Airline - minimal junk aboard, slim and so does not add to the lateral body profile.

I love this no frills bag.

For some reason, that bag just looks extremely intriguing.  So much so that it kind of screams "purse snatch" =]

Official bagaholic here. Like I said above I like and have the leather Ona Bowery bag but I know some guys don't find it masculine enough. For those they may want to look at Think Tank Mirrorless Mover series or a small Retrospective 5, 7 or 10. Also Billingham of England small Hadley and some of the new Tamrac and LowePro bags are small and more conventional styled for guys.... I could go on to Fogg and Artisans and Artist too.

Not really, my boyfriend has stolen it off me on more than one occasion... But ultimately whatever you are comfortable with!

It's worn as a sling so it's highly unlikely to be snatched.

In that case, look at the Domke F-5XB. Same approximate size in a coarse canvas:
http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/257990-REG/Domke_700_52D_F_5XB_Shoulder_Belt_Bag_Olive.html

I have a few of those as well. The Domke shoulder straps have a great "grippy" stripe on the underside. Great stuff!
The ONA Bowery is a "classy" version of the Domke F-5XB IMO...
