SX50-- the Oregon coast at sunset
At the horizon is the hint of the big storm that arrived later that night. It brought 4-5 inches of snow and temperatures in the teens (F). We've lived places where that is considered tame weather but for the central Oregon coast it is quite rare.
The next day "The Head" was closed due to the snow and ice. Two nights later I again saw the sky fire up and I got out just in time for these:
I talked to a Ranger who said that there was less snow at The Head than there was nearby in town, probably because of the wind blowing it off of the rocks.
Thanks for looking.
Nice series. Gorgeous light. Here in SE Texas we rarely see snow but we also have had some strange winter weather for this time of year--Brrrrrr.
Beautiful series Don!
Very impressive, Don, congratulations!
Thank you for sharing,
Beautiful series photos. Well done!
Thanks for sharing. I like them all, but number 1 is my favorite.
Beautiful shots Don. I love sunset pictures.
To keep my brain active I'm looking forward to my next trip. So much to see yet and not enough time.
