It is also good against athlete's foot - the athlete is not there any more.

A gun is designed solely to KILL a life.

Nothing more.

True. However it has constructive purposes as well as bad purposes. In LaLa land guns would not be needed, but we don't live in such a places.

I do.

I have no NEED for a gun.

And that's exactly the way I like it.

What is the purpose of this statement. Never mind the fact that it's false, even if it were true, what is the point?

To show the shoe/gun analogy is valid.  (Not saying it does but the point is obvious.)

But not significant ones that would make a big difference in mass shootings.

To show the shoe/gun analogy is valid. (Not saying it does but the point is obvious.)

First many guns are designed for target shooting not killing. So the statement is false. But on the other hand Bill explained that shoe bombs only have one "purpose", Guns have many purposes.

Who cares what the original design intent was. Boomerangs were designed to kill, but they are primarily used for recreation, just like guns. So design intent is meaningless. It's the usage that matters.

Yes guns are sometimes used for killing but if someone has a gun, odds are they don't plan on killing someone. But if they have a shoe bomb it's pretty clear what they intend to do.

So it's only a small lie in your opinion, that makes it okay?

BTW the only significant law that will make a big difference in shootings is to ban them all outright. None of the laws even proposed would have prevented the shootings we've already had.

Still a lie is it not?

BTW, Colorado isn't the only place that has passed new gun control.

Why would anyone in the US care what impresses a gun ban zealot in Germany?

I live in the USA, a mega banana republic.

Pun?

A shoe bomb might be for killing, but a shoe isn't. When I go to the airport with my shoes (without the bomb, just the shoes), I need to remove them. Since shoes obviously have multiple purposes, why should I have to remove my shoes while the majority of demented Americans get to keep their guns?

And what multiple purposes are you talking about? Target practice? Target practice is the act of practicing shooting for the sole purpose of killing. It's no different than a baseball player who practices batting. He's practicing to hit the ball. Target practice is practicing killing. What other purpose is there? Making the holes in swiss cheese? Please...

Duh???? Better than that, just pass a law against everything bad.

Laws like limiting the size of magazines, while won't prevent mass shooting, would limit the damage, etc.
