I like the evidence they bring to the article...absolutely zero.   Not even a good anecdote, just a hint that the police just might not feel like doing their jobs anymore.

What do you expect from Fox News?? Real reporting or just sensational anti-liberal headlines?

Fox News has won the right to lie in court.  So, unless you can prove that this is not a lie .... you loose

Oh, it's true, but deceptive. The article just gives the impression that the facts in the article support the headlines. It doesn't.

A common ploy to deceive with no facts.

Oh, it's true, but deceptive. See the little question mark in the headlines. It's obscure so the article goes on to give the impression that the facts in the article support the headlines. It doesn't.

A common ploy to deceive with no facts. You haven't been around much, I see.

The Seattle newspaper seems to indicate the problem is real. If you have better facts please show us.

Well, to start with, according to city of Seattle, crime rates in Seattle haven't jumped (they have gone up slightly in some areas, down in others)

Good point although there are large jumps and small jumps. Nevertheless, the word jump would not have been my choice.

You sure it's not due to the end of the state liquor stores?
In reply to Bill Randall, 4 months ago

Just prior to the legalization of recreational marijuana, Washington state did away with state run liquor stores. This allowed hard liquor to be sold in more places.

Since your article didn't cite any evidence. I'd say that my POV has as much weight as the FOX News piece.

According to the article you posted in your original post, the word jumped was your first choice:

"Meantime, violent crime in the downtown business district jumped"

You posted it, now you own it, lies, falsehoods, bad reporting and all.

Is it more expensive to buy hard liquor or pot?  Assuming that the crime is to obtain money, then that would supply your answer.

Of course, if this is violent crime -- we all know it's the liquor.

Every pot smoker that I know, is pretty mellow. Never seen any get aggressive.

I've never seen anyone jones for pot bad enough to commit a major crime, either.  It's not like meth or heroin where you MUST get your next high no matter the cost.   It's more like, "Oh man, today is going to be lame."

Alcoholism may deliver the worst of both addiction and violent behaviour.  If the "War on Drugs" was a serious proposition they would have brought back prohibition -- and look how well that turned out.

You seem to have a problem when people agreeing with you. Did you not notice the lack of comment from me in my original post. I was reporting, not analyzing. I used the reports words. You posted a response which I agreed with, and now you have to smart mouth me. I guess that is the best you can do.
