D600 with Sigma 35mm 1.4

Hi,

I have a problem with my Sigma 35mm 1m4 Art lens. Yesterday, autofocus stopped working. I tried everything. Camera reset, remove battery, removed lens and cleaned the contacts, and the thing still not working. When i press shutter button half way, nothing happens. So i am on manual only. Anyone has any idea what is wrong with my lens? Camera and the lens are almost new, 1 month old and everything worked fine till now.

Could be the camera or, more likely, the interface between the lens and the camera. You will likely have better luck in the Nikon forum.

Don't Sigma lenses come with a warranty for repairs and replacement if defective?

Did you by any chance upgrade the firmware of your camera at the same time ... there have been some incidents lately were Nikon disabled 3rd party lens and battery support with upgrades. You might have better luck finding this out on the Nikon forum.

If this is unrelated, you can contact Sigma support by telephone or email and see what they have to say. You should have full warranty on your lens, so in case something stopped working and it's Sigma's fault, then you should be eligible for free repair/replacement.
