Edwin H. Gott - 1004 Feet and a *Frozen Chaser*
10 months ago

Hi:

Where did summer go? Bummer, the weather is crazy all over the world and getting out is tough.

These are from the 1004 foot Edwin H. Gott taken with the A65 and Tamron A65, with whole ball of wax in clothing.

My daughter has bought me a pair of gloves/mitts, where the mitt part can be folded back and the glove has the end of the fingers cut out and when I'm done taking pictures I can cover it up - all with velcro. Haven't tried it out yet.

Life is good - Blue Skies

CC

Only chaser I could find by the river. Taken from a reflection off my Van.

Sony SLT-A65

I can't chastise you for no chaser in that weather!

My That's a Big One !  Another one of those River Runners with that Bow design , Interesting 3 Anchor set up 2 in the Bow and one in the Stern , If that big boy had engine or steering problems all three would be needed to keep it from swinging around in a heavy current , Looks running heavy , What do they Haul  ?

I Like that first Capture with the American almost Eclipsed by the Bow.

I appreciate your dedication and the fine shots , That Framed crop is Cool. Now Crank up the Heater.

Taconite and it has one of the largest self-unloading booms.

The flag is on Belle Isle, owned by Detroit.

Nice series of pictures.

Don't know if you caught these couple of Great Lakes freighter pictures over on the Oly SLR Talk forum - http://www.dpreview.com/forums/post/52684499

Great Lakes freighter work is hard work, especially in the winter months if/when they are able to ply the waters.  Brrrr.....

Nice work George!

Way too cold out there to stand around long.

The chaser looks like he could use a hot buttered rum!
