After using the SONY A7r for a few days with manual lenses
8 months ago

Hi, I have again done a very subjective partial review on my blog, suggesting some user interface annoyances on the SONY A7 /A7r:

What do you think about these issues?

Your point one is wrong. You can set auto ISO to anything between 100 and 25600

You can't set a max ISO for AutoISO? I was under the impression you could, no?

Though I agree that no ability to set minimum shutter is annoying.

You can also get an M-to-E helicoid adapter (such as Hawk's or the one Voightlander is about to release) to reduce your MFD with M lenses.

No. That's the whole point of a helicoid adapter. It can be shortened to allow infinity focus, or lengthened to shorten MFD.

Cool, have to check that out! Sounds like perhaps not superfast workflow, but good for some cases definitely...

You lose infinity focus when the helacoid is extended for closer focus. When you turn the helacoid to retract, you regain infinity focus. Just like using a focus ring.
