New K01 User Wants Help
Jul 8, 2013

Hello.

I just bought a brand new K01 camera from Amazon since 5 days and I found the shutter count is 1602.

Is that normal?
I tried to make a shutter count test on photome.com and other websites but the result refers (Unknown) or (Undefined).

Another issue :

I use Lexar class 10 (200 mb) and I found that sometimes when I take shots, the camera is unable to restore images, then I have to remove the SD memory from the camera and put it again to make it works. When I use an old memory, it works fine.

BTW I installed the new Firmware 1.03.

Thanks In Advance.

Normal.

Please specify memory card. And then try some other - undefective one.

Thanks for your quick reply.

What do you mean by normal? Is it about the shutter count or the memory card?

The memory is Lexar Premium Series SDHC1 200X Class 10 16GB

I also have a LEXAR card that does not work reliably in my K01.  It is just the tiniest bit thinner than a Sandisk card and that seems to make all the difference in the world.  So I use that LEXAR card in my Sony A65 and it is fine there.   And I use a Sandisk card in my K01 and now it works fine.

If you start using an SD card that was previously used on another camera without formatting it in camera first then you could get an erroronuous shutter count reading.

Take a DNG image and open it (unedited) in Photome. If you co not see the Filter Bar at the bottom then press Control + F and type Shutter Count in the space provided.

- else, Take a DNG image and upload it to Camera Shutter Count. This will take some time so just wait until you get the proper count of your K-01.

I just checked both of the above to make sure it works and it does.

Cheers.

Ron

Thanks for all who replied.

Thanks Ron

Your advice was helpful, now the camera shutter count became 89.

I formated the SD card and used an old one which is compatible with K-01 perfectly, I think the Lexar UHS1 Class "10" is not the one for K-01.
