flash gels holder

I am wasting more gels that I use on my flashes as the Velcro or tape method is not efficient.

Is their a flash gel holder that fits on the flash? The color gel of choice is first placed on the inside of the clear plastic holder and then the gel and holder are fitted to the flash.

Any suggestions?
Thanks

Richard

Hi---

What kind of flash?  Lumiquest makes a holder that works as you describe for my Nikon speed lights.

Take Care---

Scissors to the rescue

For my Canon 580-EX II flashes, I cut a strip of gel about two inches wide and about eight inches long. I wrap it around the lens of the flash and hold it in place with a rubber band. Total cost: zero. I buy 20-by-24-inch sheets of Rosco gels from B&H.

I would be useful if you told us what kind of flashes of you have.

I really like using Honl Photo filters (with the roll-up) and Rogue Gel (because I can stack them). LumiQuest FXtra is another popular choice.
