Just wanting to know how well the 64 in soft silver PLM parabolic works with Einstein 640. Also how many people use it with the diffusion sock. Does anyone have sample shots using this on location with and without diffusion panel in place. Thanks.

It work really wonderful IMHO.

I do not got the shots in here (at work), but I had to shot group shots of a baptism a month ago and I couldn't be more pleased with the light.

I used it without the diffusion fabric and the light was gorgeous.

They were singles and groups as much as 8 to 10 people.

Hope it helps

Yes it does. I have been lugging around  36X48 softbox and started carring around a 60 in Wescott umbrella about a month ago and with the proper sand bags to hold everything in place it works well and I like the look of the bounced light source and so much easier to set up. So were you also using the Einstein 640 with PLM? Wish you had samples to see.

I have the 86" PLM with the diffuser. I use it mostly as a fill light. I wish I had purchased the next smaller size because I am limited with an 8' high ceiling, and I can't get this big one up high enough to use it as a main light.

I do use it with the Einstein.

That's what I was going to do. Get the 64in soft silver PLM and the diffusion sock and try it out on a family of five  shoot that I have comming up very soon.  I'll bet paired with the Einstein it should do a good job

I use both the 64" and 84" PLMs (no diffuser) with an AB1600.

Love 'em.
