View NX2 help

Okay, trying View NX2, transferred photos to the updated program. I can open a RAW photo in the program, but I can't get the sliders to move...?

can you see the images on screen? And the Adjustments panel on the right hand side? If you are using a new camera like 7100 you may have to update NX2 to get the program to work correctly with NX2

The last version, and the one you need to open Pictures from D7100 properly, is ver. 2.7.5.

You can get that from Nikon's homepage.

Hi Iain:

I don't know if this is your issue but if you locked your photos in the camera to make sure that you don't delete them, the sliders won't move in View NX2.... they are greyed out and disabled/

I found that View NX2 took a lot of computing memory. My old laptop would constantly crash, so I had to add memory.

Be sure to use the Transfer utility in ViewNX2, not the old standalone version.  I had the same problem, and it was caused by using the old Nikon Transfer V1, which I made sure to uninstall.

If you've previously made adjustments to the RAW with CNX2, you can't do anymore adjustments in VNX2. The pics that have been worked on in CNX2 will have the U-Point icon in the thumbnails file# area.

Thanks to all!

Thanks to all... off and running!

The version that I had was 2.7.2. I clicked on "update" in the program, but it said that there were no updates. So, as recommended, I went to the Nikon site, and version 2.7.6 was available. Installed, and the sliders work perfectly (and the computer doesn't crash).

My first RAW picture. One small step...

Thats an QC issue - If you got Windows, there has to be at least one chrash - and two reboots.

Bill won't like it...
