Help please Lightroom problem
Jun 8, 2013

Running LR 4.4 on Win 7 when we had a power failure. After restart, cannot see any images, settings or presets the LT Cat.  I have searched a lot of forums and tried all of the suggestions to fix a serious problem.

When I open the file its like having a completely new Cat file without any user data or images.  (All the images are OK in there respective folders on the drive).

When I restore a previous back-up of my current Cat file the same thing no data.

Same thing when opening a renamed version of my primary file.

Any other LT Cat file opens normally but my primary and all of its backups do not display any data.

This seems to be a really weird problem and I need a solution to recover years of data.

Any suggestions?

I would suggest deleting the preferences file, but you have probably already tried that.

Thanks Tom  did that but no change.
I have even tried opening the Cat file on another PC with same result.  May need to to find a SQL expert to have a look at the file data.

Wow.  That's why I'm willing to click on a checkbox that says "experienced user" but never one that says "expert."  I would never have guessed that solution.
