Problem with Preview
May 4, 2013

I find the quickest way to review a whole folder of photos is to open it in list view, select the first and tap the space bar to view it in Preview, then just use the up or down arrows to scroll through the list and see the others in turn. All the photos will have been post-processed in Photoshop, often using several masks and layers, all of these subsequently merged and the image flattened. Sometimes, instead of showing the completed image, Preview will show only a bit of it — a snippet of a mask or layer. The final image still appears normal in Photoshop. Does anyone know how to get the whole thing to show up in Preview, other than cutting and pasting the whole image into a new replacement file, thereby losint the EXIF data?

What fille format are talking about here? PSD? If yes, you might have just encountered a bug in Preview's decoding of the PSD format, and the solution should be to save things as tiffs instead (since you said you already flattened everything there should not be any loss of information).
