Nice. No oil in my D700 either.

Looking through your recent posts, I now understand your sarcasm.  Sure, they're not the greatest, but snapshots they're not.

Maybe I should stick to pets and flowers

Nice pics, somehow b/w always works for Venice and other older citys and towns. If i may add a criticque, more variety next time in the pics, maybe? They look a bit too "formal" to me...

You got lucky. Many did. Just because yours didn't, no need to brag it up.

Re: No oil on my FF sensor in Venice (B&W)

I am going to Venice in a couple weeks and I hope my pictures are half as nice as yours.

Question: did you use a tripod for these pictures?

Thanks.

Good to know.  What does it have to do with your photos?

Absolutely nothing - like the endless threads on the subject

Thanks Marc

Hopefully you will have better weather.  I didn't have the chance to dedicate any time to photography while in Venice as I was there with a 1 year old who was in a stroller, which is a bit of a handful over all the bridges!  So I just travelled light with two lenses.  Tripod and filters stayed behind
