Issues with Zeiss 15mm with ND filter
Apr 21, 2013

I looked around for months and found only one slim ND filter made in the 95mm size for the Zeiss 15mm f2.8.

Here is what I was looking for: DARK (1000x or ND3 or 10 stops) Slim or thing (less than 5.5mm)

I got this one of B&H: Heliopan 95mm Neutral Density (ND) 3.0 Filter Price was $341

Camera body is a D800E

I got some mixed results:

Issue is with the purple band from one side of the image to the other. Does it most at f22 but can be seen from f11. Is this because of the filter or the front element or elements on the lens.

Sure looks to me like you didn't cover the viewfinder.  This will happen with any lens and is not the lens's fault.

Problem Solved. Viewfinder letting light in. I can now to a full review on the filter.
