It will be interesting to see when the Ricoh releases and how the images compare to the Nikon A.

Looking at the GR from the top, based on the hotshoe size, it looks significant wider than the Nikon.

Ricoh looks ugly. Lens looks small.

The lens on the Ricoh is smaller than the Nikon A lens.  Less glass.  Probably less IQ.

Smallest aps-c camera, same sensor as K5IIs (which is better than sensor on D7000)

Lens? same element as Nikon A (7 elements) but GR has 9 blades, macro mode 10cm.

yeah right... this is a ludicrous statement ...

size of a glass does not provide a direct info about quality of the lens. you do not seem to know much about lens design

maybe  you want to look at the corner examples....

why don t you just read the info posted here on dpr. the difference is minimal and the Ricoh is also less tall and thinner

That's putting it mildly.  Photo Perzon could not demonstrate less knowledge about lenses, cameras, or photography in general if he wanted to.

Don't worry...he will move onto the next camera after his attention span has worn off on the Ricoh.  He always does.

This is killing me. Will you please PM me and tell me if you are just having a laugh with all your crazy posts or if you are really just certifiable? I promise I won't tell anyone.

I guess we have a different taste

I always consider ricoh gr's to be the best looking compacts. It looks so good, I wan't one, despite I obviously don't need a fixed 28.

Yes I read it, and no, the difference is not "minimal". It's bigger, don't you get it? I have 2 cases made for Leica DLux4 and 6, Pana LX3 and 7, and the 'A' fits like a glove. The Ricoh won't fit at all. It's too BIG.

Re: Ricoh also 300.00 less

Can't help but wonder if the "A" will have a price adjustment?

It may.  I wouldn't expect a huge adjustment, but $100-200 is in the realm of possibility.
