hi

may i ask you 2 question about YONGNUO YN-560 II ?

i have a canon 5d mark 2

1)my first question is

if i mount a flashgun on my 5d mark 2 can i let fire the other YONGNUO YN-560 II flashguns ?

in short like the canon 580 II

2) if i mount an YONGNUO transmitter on my canon 5d mark 2 and a receiver on an YONGNUO YN-560 II, can i let fire others 560 II flashguns

or do i need 1 transmitter and 3 receivers  if i have tree 560II

The yn560ii has a simple builtin optical slave.

1. if you put any flash on you 5dmkii , your other yn560ii will fire in S1/2 slave modes. You set their power manually.

2.You can use with them the simple RF602/3, yet you'll still have to set the flash power manually.

If you want something more advanced, I recommend using the following:

YN622C  + YN565EX  or YN568EX

This combo will let you control the set from your camera menu. It costs more, but the options are amazing.

As DIY said, set any remote 560II to S1 mode and it will flash whenever the camera mounted flash or the flash connected to your RF trigger fires.

If you have a flash using automatic ttl metering mounted onto the camera make sure to use S2 mode so the pre-flash for metering doesn't set the slave off but rather the actual flash for the photo sets it off.  S1 mode is for when you are using the flash mounted on your camera in manual (as in not using ttl metering)
