Duck yawn

Attack Mode

This is right behind our community. Second time i've seen him. Got the shot

Red-Winged blackbird. Love the color on these guys

Mating season is no joke. Caught these guys fighting it to the death!

Snapped on my Sigma 70-200 (amazing lens by the way) and off I went. I couldn't wipe the smile off my face. Coming from the D3200, love LOVE this camera. A lot of people complain about the buffer. Personally, doesn't bother me. The most I took in succession is about 4-5 shot. That's all I need. You know how many action/sports shots I was missing with the slow 4fps D3200? Tons. This camera, I can get it all. Definitely a big step up.

Took some portraits of my wife in a dimly lit room. Unfortunately, very difficult to grab focus. Just hunts and hunts.

I shoot RAW, and dynamic range is amazing. The details I can get back on these photos is pretty breathtaking. Also, the colors it produces right out of the camera is down right pretty.

All in all, great camera, resolution is amazing, and just the details blew me away. Mind you I did add some sharpening post, but these photos are SHARP right out of the camera.

Enjoy!

What exactly are you impressed about? D3200 has pretty much the same dynamic range and image quality as D7100 so those pictures taken with a D3200 would have been no different.

(Funny you mention AF hunting in low light on your D7100. AF was meant to be the D7100 biggest strengths over the D3200)

Please stop posting.  You haven't a clue.  They're 2 totally different cameras.  Go try them at your local camera store.

Nice shots, and congrats on your new purchase.  Now, ALL about composition, right?

Thanks for the feedback guys  BTW, the "issues" with the D7100 and Sigma lens: Have ZERO problems with this (70-200). Locks on like a missile!

Here's one more I particularly like cause of its sharpness. Enjoy!

Nice photos!

I'd say the autofocus will be a combination of lens+ camera, so one cannot blame the autofocus system only for slow focus.

I also just bought the camera, and like you think the colors are absolutely fabulous coming from a D90. And what's funny is that i went took pictures of ducks yesterday just like you

I'll try and post them later
