What conversion program are you using?  I use LR 4.4.  Hope you're getting the results using that program.

I'm thinking of buying the x100s but the only thing holding me back has been the reports of problems with raw conversions.

Thanks.

Very nice. Are you trying to re-direct my eyes to the bicycle?

Definitely can see some of the classic Fuji "painterly" look.  For example around the chrome along the surface of the instrument.  But you have to get down to the pixel level to see it.  On a higher level the colors look great.  The face is a little soft though...not sure if there isn't a bit of motion blur going on there.

What a lovely..um...bike.  Your shots look very good. The X100s appears to be quite capable of very good shots.

when viewed under 1:1, the texture of the Jeans shows some artificials. Wonder is it due to LR or X-trans? Could you share also the OOC JPEG? Thanks. -- oldcamel

I am interested in how you processed this photo. What were your Lightroom settings?

Also, on full magnification the skin looks plastic.  I'm having this issue with my X100s shots.  This isn't as easily detected with the X100.  Of course, horrible example to mention skin, Rosacea and probably a few other things going on.

do you have the same issue on out-of-camera JPEG? I wonder is it a issue of LR. thanks.

This is the most remarkable image I've seen today - on any camera system.  Thank you for posting.

Unnatural "too much HDR" look. This is what you get if you push shadows to much.

Too much ambient light.  Good oportunity to use the ND filters and built in flash for fill and to get rid of some sun. Reduce your exposure at least -1.  Suggest you get to know your camera better to be able to control the light and color.  The X100s is capable of producing much better work than this, regardless of your composition and perspective.
