Olympus Stylus 780 (mju 780 Digital) review

The Mju780 is a very good, well built, point and shoot camera. It is ultra compact and weatherproof. The dual stabilisation systems work well, reducing shake and unwanted blur. The combined Shadow adjusting and Face recognition is also very effective. twenty two scene modes and variations are largely controlled via the 2.5" LCD menu. Visibility is good, but not brilliant in bright sunlight. The 780 takes very good pictures, and the 5 times optical and 4 times digital zoom make a powerdul combination. I would have liked some manual overrides though (aperture priority etc) and an optical viewfinder, but the price, overall design and picture quality make it difficult to complain. A very good camera.
