Olympus FE-240 review
Olympus's FE-240 is a sleek looking camera-it has a stainless steel body and is
impressively slim- only 17.5mm thick and it's got a a 5x optical zoom (38mm-
190mm 35mm equivilant)-which for a slim camera is brilliant.
When released in 2007, Olympus interestingly called it "the world's smallest &
thinnest 5x Optical Zoom Digital Compact Camera".
Features include 10 scene mods, macro and super macro modes, easy EV
compensation adjustment and intuitive fuss free menus.
There is digital image stabilization which is quite effective in reducing blur (plus in
playback mode a DIS edit option is available-explained below:
Olympus says the DIS edit feature is for "if the recorded digital image has any blur
incurred by camera shake, the image will be stabilized and saved as a new one."
Pkayback mode is very good-with slideshows, resizing, DPOF print order and "silent
mode" (disables some camera sounds) plus a handy "my favorites" feature that can
be used to store and view , well your favorite photos.
