A honest review
If you r a professional and you need to use large prints of your images then you should not been here complaining about HX100V here and creating confusion. Go buy a dSLR.
If you are not a professional and you want to do like pro then this toy is apt for you.
I have been doing extensive research on Super zooms from all major Brands but none of them was an ALL-ROUNDER like HX100V.
JUST LOOK AT THESE POINTS AND THINK OF OTHER COMPETITORS ON SAME POINTS >
1- the flash range of this camera is double of its competitor so hotshoe is not a problem.
2- i use photo for web sharing and personal digital album n magazines so a very little paint like effect in pixels is not a problem for me as i never need more than 30% of original size of image and no one will until he is planning to print posters (go get a dSLR)
3- 30x is more than enough for a non pro wildlife photographer or bird shooter.
4- No other Brand of this segment is giving this video quality.
5- the lens ring which can b used for 2 purpose (manual focus and FINE TUNING OF FOCUS) is so good for macros.
6- it cn produce better depth of field effect than entry dSLR (i may b little lineant here in saying this)
7- The shutter speed of 1/4000 to 30 sec is better than many.
8- wide angle is not a prob u can create amazing full resolution Panorma (also 3D)
9- even if u dnt hav a 3D TV to watch ur 3D pics u cn watch in LCD of camera
10- the 921.... pixel LCD is better than the 230... that some other r giving
11- The black matte finish of quality plastic gives professional look to camera
12- Price is Cheaper than all others (in INDIA)
13- CMOS sensor means better low light image quality
14- 10 frames per seconds.. amazing
15- GPS is so useful while on travel or tour.
No other camera is providing so many and many more features.
As of my use i do not see any problem. Some small things are adjustable.
