can some one tell me if this is compatable with the Canon 450D camera, please i not 100% sure

Yes.

All Canon EF, EF-S, and TS-E lenses are fully compatible with Canon 450D.

Yes it is. I just got a used copy and I was pleasantly surprised. Some reviews really knock it but it is as sharp as any other lens I own. I was expecting a real dog of a lens based on reviews i had read and was going to resell it. Have decided it is a keeper.

Yea the 18-200 seems like quite the lens. Set it to F5.6 and you have a constant aperture F5.6 lens from 18mm up to 200mm......would probably be a really good all around lens or even a somewhat decent backup weddings lens if you have good lighting.
