A Carolina Wren with a long lens

One of my favorite shots done with the A77 / Sigma 120-400mm combo.  Hard to get these tiny guys to stay still long enough to get a shot.

Comments and critique always welcome.

I wonder what that camouflage is for, maybe an autumn moth?

Good lucky catch. These small birds keeps wiggling all the time. You need a really good luck to get a sharp shot at 1/20 Sec.

Great set of images Ed, love the titmice. Even though you are warmer than we are, your goldfinches are no closer to breeding plumage than ours.

I agree with others: it's a really nice shot. I love the wat you nailed focus in bird's eye and the DOF transition.

Just the phone. No add on lenses. PP in snapseed just border and tiny bit of saturation and sharpening.
