The world always looks a little different in shades of gray - or of sepia, or of platinum, or of ...

Post a monochrome or two, taken any time, with any camera, of any subject, processed any way you like. Please post your pictures as a response to this opening message.

Feel free to comment - or not - on any of the posts.

How does the world look to you?

Hello Darsh,

Lovely work!  Great timing especially in your first.  Definitely worth ironing out the background creases for printing in my opinion.

All the best,

Taken last night, one of my favourite flowers: the snowdrop.  (Smartbox, thanks for the inspiration!)

They should be up here soon, four more weeks or so. A wonderfully delicate image.

An image meant for monochrome. Something about the light from above, on the top of one wing and a hint on the other.

The contrasting shapes guides the eye to the hands and focus. Like the mix of relaxed posture and intent look. Very effective.

Two nicely caught images.  You will like them both more as time rolls by.  Great expression in the first.

Fine image, like the black back ground with the white flower.  Don't think we have any in our garden, but if we do we won't see them for a while yet.
