The motion blur of the cyclists in the first is very neat.

It's a;most as if the streetlights are there for when the trees get dressed up. Nice composition.

Lion's Gate Bridge Vancouver
In reply to Rriley, Jan 26, 2013

Taken from a ship having passed under the bridge while exiting the harbour.  I am sure there are better angles to take this shot, but I did not have control of the ship!

14-54 mm

Nice to see!  The blurr conveys the motion of the riders in the first.  Lovely to see summer and people out and about enjoying it.

Nice well composed winter street scene.  The street lamps add to the image!

Both really nice images Lou.  Great composition and rendering in the first.  The second does well in monochrome.

Owl at sunset scape
In reply to Rriley, Jan 27, 2013

One from January 2011, freshly edited in Adobe Camera Raw.

E-3, OM 350mm f2.8 + OM 1.4TC, ISO 640, shot pretty much straight into the setting sun seen filtering through the trees behind.

Carscape.

There's a secret to this carscape. It was not taken in the normal way. Does it look at all different to you? In any case I like the dark mood of the image.

Another very beautiful image.  The wind worn ice forms remind me of paintings by a Canadian painter, Lawren Harris.
