D600 Tethered Shooting using Lightroom 4

I have D600 and use LR4.

Can the D600 be tethered to LR4?

What kind of cable I need or which hole in the D600 is for that purpose?

Appreciate!

Pete

I did try.  Hooked up with a USB cable.  My pc can recognize D600 as a drive.

But Lightroom 4 cannot recognize a camera (D600) at tethered.

I guess I answer the question myself.  D600 or Lightroom 4 does not support tether.

I'm looking forward to be tethering my D600 to LR.

I'm told that there are usually two delays with a newly-released camera: a reasonably short delay while the software companies re-write the RAW code and then a longer one (possibly 6 months) until tethering support is added.

I tried there latest update yesterday and LR still won't tether to my D600. Camera Control Pro works, so I will use it for now.

Take a look at FastPictureViewer  Pro.  Stupid name but great for tethering.

I use it with Lightroom instead of its native tethered mode or Camera Control.  The advantage is that it allows you to store the photo in the camera'fs memory in addition to sending it to the computer.

I use ControlMyNikon to tether my Nikon cameras - best software that I have found to do this, cheap and very powerful - well looks a look.

My bad, I assumed that because it works with all the bodies I use, including d800e that it worked with all other bodies

well worth keeping an eye on the site as he updates regularily and if you mail him he will tell you where it stands for d600.

again, sorry for getting your hopes up.

I've had the same issue and this guy has the solution. Basically, he walks you through copying the tether file from LR5 Beta. He then demos a test shot with the d600 tethered in LR4. Here's the link:

Okay...I just downloaded LR5 Beta, copied the file into LR4 and shot a test. Easy peasy!
