The 45 mm is a bit long so it can be hard to get wider angle shots, you just can't step back far enough.  The 25 mm gives a more normal view and is probably more versatile.

The 45 mm is good for portraits, being a long lens, it compresses the image, makes it look flatter.  So the closer parts of the face don't look distorted.

Both lenses are 'fast', they have wide apertures so you can use them in lower light.  Wide aperture also means shallower depth of field, makes it easier to blur the background it that's the effect you want.

Both are sharp lenses and good for working in low light.  The 25mm is more useful as an all around lens since you do not have to be back so far from your subject to get everything in view.  If you find the focal length of the 45mm works for the kind of photography you are doing most of the time, then you may not need the 25mm.  I found the 45mm little bit long for where and what I usually shoot indoors, so I bought the 25mm and I am VERY happy with it.  It's a really great lens.

I took the 25/1.4 and 45/1.8 along with the 12mm f2 to Paris last May. If I had been able to, I would rather have had either the 60mm f2.8 or 75mm f1.8 to go with the 25/1.4, but I took what I had at the time.

The difference is not small..

25mm shot of the Petit Palais..

From the same spot with the 45/1.8..

Invalides from the 56th floor of the Montparnasse Tower on a not-so-clear morning..

The "back yard" at Chantilly Chateau with the 45..

Vaux le Vicomte with the 45..

No denying the 45 is one amazingly sharp lens and I still have mine, but today I'm pairing the 25/1.4 primarily with the 75.

I personally would get the 25, it's a more all-round lens.  The 12 is wide angle.  It depends on what kind of shots you plan on taking.

The 25mm has a wider maximum aperture, which gives you slightly better lower light capabilities but only slightly), and can give you a narrower depth of field at widest aperture than the 20mm, if you want to experiment with that.

I had the 20mm and never cared much for it, but I love the 25mm, personally.  It just has a lovely image quality to its output in addition to excellent sharpness, and I think it is worth the difference in cost  overy the 20mm, personally.  However, everyone has their own preferences, and if you like a wider lens or a pancake lens, the 20mm would be the better choice, then.

The 12mm is a fabulous lens, but it is really wide for everyday use.  I like it for landscapes a lot, and some indoor wide angle work, but it is not a good portrait lens, and for architectural work, I actually prefer the 14mm instead.  If you do want a tiny and inexpensive wide angle, I would recommend the 14mm f2.5 Panasonic as a nice option, also.

The main difference between those two are the type shots the 60 can take on its' own that the 75 cannot, which is anything closer than 2.76 feet, or you gain an extra stop of light with the 75. I've tried the 75 with the 10mm Kenko tube to get closer, and it does work, but the 60 is made for closeup shooting, handles the shorter distances much better and it does make a very nice short tele for normal picture-taking.

I can see the 75 being almost too tight a view for many users. With the extra close-up utility the 60 will probably be a better overall user for many.

The 25mm and 45mm have their own use in different situations.

I have 12, 25 and 75mm for my omd.  Had 45mm for sometime but because I am not shoting much portrait, I sold it.  All these lens are great.

12mm - best for landscape and travel.  Not for portrait because of the distortion.

25mm - It is on my omd most of the time, best for indoor low light condition. f1.4 works nicely even under candle light.  If you get that, I am sure you would love it.

45mm - a good lens but I got a bad copy the first time, the 2nd one was much better.  I just need a longer focal length so I sold it and get a 75mm.  Only personal reasons, may not apply others.

Get a zoom. Play with the zoom. Discover what focal lengths you like to use when composing your pictures. After doing that you will figure out what primes you want.

Luckily, you probably got the 12-50 with your E-M5. Great! You have a wide angle all the way to a telephoto. You can mess around with it until you figure out what focal length best suits the pictures you take, then you can decide whether or not any of the primes would be worth the expense.

Or you could just spend hundreds of dollars on primes -- you can do that, too, I suppose, if you've got the cash.

The question is not whether I think it is a useful lens, but do YOU think it is? Everyone uses their cameras a bit differently; for instance I have the 14-140mm Panasonic equivalent to your zoom lens, and I use it frequently when I am walking around or hiking with the camera, as it is very convenient and is good in good outdoor light. On the other hand, if you do lots of indoor or portrait shots, or need shallow DOF, then it is not a good choice for your purposes.

Why don't you do this: Make a list of what you are going to mostly be shooting, and in what kind of lighting situations. Then, take a look at the photos you have taken with the 14-150mm, and see what focal lengths you use the most from that lens. (Many photo editing software programs will let you sort the shots by focal length, or tell you how many of each focal length you have). If you find you do all of your shooting at 14mm and wide open, then the 14mm f2.5 might be a good lens to get. If you find you do mostly really long shooting (150mm), then you definitely want to keep your zoom....and you may find that you take a lot of shots at either 25mm or 45mm, in which case, the one you have the most shots at might lead you to the prime you should get first.

If you post your results, I am sure the forum members can more easily help you narrow down your options.
