I would be afraid to get anywhere near the 1936 Ford Pickup for fear of leaving a smudge or something similar. It must be in immaculate condition, at least in how you captured it, very stunning.

Roger, it was displayed at the 2009 Toronto International Autoshow.  It was roped off, as were all show cars of this nature so getting close was not an option.  This was one of the Cruise National winners.  They were all very impressive as you can well imagine.

I took this one yesterday with the E-30. The lens was the Zuiko 70-300 aided by the EC 1.4. I still like the results  from this lens under the right circumstances.

Mozzy Close Up
In reply to 19andrew47, 4 months ago

You may well have seen my images of the Mosquito (and others) in flight but I had a comment that the cockpit detail was quite good (they must have magnified it up a bit) so I went back to the original and did a very close crop.  You have to remember this plane when shot was at least 200 metres at an elevation of 100 metres so a fair stretch for the camera and lens, but it works for me.  A little blurred  but what do expect from something flying at 150mph plus??  E500 and 70-300.

I still find the E-3 an amazing camera who could produce very beautifull images and this is one of them. That cam has certainly a character of it's own. (and the photographer of course :))

A Walk on the Wild Side
In reply to 19andrew47, 4 months ago

A few shots taken with my Panasonic DMC L10 and Sigma 18-50mm on a walk in local hills. What is not apparent is that a gale force wind was blowing at the time! Sadly about the time I took these shots 4 climbers were killed in an avalanche on a mountain about 20 miles away.

New Orleans (variously processed)
In reply to 19andrew47, 4 months ago

All these were taken  in the French Quarter with E-30. Have been entertaining myself this weekend with processing tricks. These have experienced "kitchen sink" processing.

Reply to at least one other contribution, that is one of the rules this thread asked from you...

I'm not OP nor of the Olympus Forum and neither of this thread but it came to my mind that here in this thread less comments have been posted lately, in response to the photoos of others and it is precisely the interest for others which makes this thread and the Olympus forum keeping alive. I also hope that you are not mad at me for exposing the house rule of this thread, because Andrew does such a fine job to give every Olympus DSLR user the opportunity to post there fine images every week. Also I am convinced that you will find at least one image to your liking and that's all what's is asked.

As an example: the weekly mono thread does a far better job in that respect, so it puzzles me why not here?

Thanks Lou

Very nice series .... and I've heard on the broadcast news about the loss of those four people in the avanlanche. A very tragic incident and a loss for there families and friends.

May I aske, is your last shot a form of a grave monument?

Cheers Lou

I just wrote:

That second shot looks indeed very antique and even looks an other time period now the sky gap has filled with trees. Nice job, btw the rose is beautiful too.

But exactly at the time I would put up the message you've deleted the antique store image

Cheers Lou

Sorry Lou

I realized that the shot was not taken by Oly. I posted it over on the retouch forum.
