A handful pics from this weekend...
All from Hedmark county, in the SE part of the country.
Temps down to -23°C/-9°F. Lovely! Feels good to have some roses in the cheeks again

Some very nice views!  Like 3, 4, 5, 6, and 8 best.  Doesn't seem to be a lot of snow in the first two, but plenty in the rest.  I'm not a big fan of extreme cold, and you are not quite there at those temperatures, but still pretty cold!  Spent a winter in Wawa Ontario and that year -40 (F or C the same) was reached a few times.  -30 F was common.  I am sure there are colder places but that was more than enough for me!

I have no way to pick a favorite from the pack.  All nicely done, especially given the quite cold temperatures.  I very much appreciate the series, as I just acquired the 35-100 mm lens.  Thank you for sharing all of these.

Splendid Erik, good to see some proper winter. I love the snowy branches against the dark skies.

Thank you, Andrew! Glad you like them
The amount of snow on the ground is more or less the same in all these locations. Not much, but around 1 foot/30cm or so. Bar the first two pics, I guess the fact that the trees are overgrown w/ rime makes the impression of winter more pronounced in the rest of the series. But the snow conditions were more or less the same, as was the temperatures.

I'm not a big fan of extreme cold, and you are not quite there at those temperatures, but still pretty cold! Spent a winter in Wawa Ontario and that year -40 (F or C the same) was reached a few times. -30 F was common. I am sure there are colder places but that was more than enough for me!

Actually the temps were down to -39°C/-38°F in the eastern part of the county this morning. Which as you say is enough. Even for a Norwegian

Thank you all for your feedback! It really is appreciated
Winter is still lasting for a long time to come here, and now lake Mjøsa is starting to freeze over, so I'm hoping for some more real winter subjects to capture. Looking forward to that!

Beautiful shots Erik,

Amazing work of nature as well. I don't like cold personally, but I'd sacrifice bit of comfort for such landscapes

Erik,

Wonderful ! The 2 shots with the 90-250mm are my favourites. In those 2 shots, I'm wondering about the bluish tones, was there blue sky above or behind you?

I look forward to seeing more of your winter scenes. It's currently above 45°C (113°F) here in Sydney, so it's s nice to know that it is cold somewhere in the world.

Mine too

Yes, the lighting was quite peculiar, and constantly shifting. I'm standing in the borderzone/outskirts of the drifting fog here, and when shooting those two pics I had blue sky overhead and behind me. Whilst I was standing in the shadows, there was sun behind me, and as you can see also on the lake in front. Sometimes the fog was partly penetrated by the sun, throwing a golden tint to it all, sometimes it was all blue shades due to clear skies overhead/behind, sometimes just grey fog and cloudy skies, sometimes all sunny. And this mix of very local and moving spots of different light, combined w/ the soft fog and reflecting snow, made out for some rather strange light at times. Hence some pics may look a bit "off" in between, but they are actually very true to life. Those of you that has experienced this type of climate and weather will surely recognize that fact.

I look forward to seeing more of your winter scenes. It's currently above 45°C (113°F) here in Sydney, so it's s nice to know that it is cold somewhere in the world.

Indeed. Global warming isn't quite all over the place yet. Thank God
