P7700 30 foot Buddha at night - nice stabilization!
Jan 12, 2013

Hand held shots! NO tripod. 1/6 shutter speed!  ZERO post processing (right out of camera)

Which composition looks better? - 1 is slightly off center and zoomed in a little more.

Couldn't dream of getting shots like this with my old point and shoot.

I am one happy customer

Nikon Coolpix P7700

No. 2 looks better to me - symmetry + black frame all around + centering + reflection is not cut off.

Regards, T.

Agreed...2nd shot is better. Clone out the light to the right side as it distracts.

Great example of the P7700's glass. Amazing, especially the white on white detail.

Did you use Night Landscape mode?

The first is best due to the leaves blocking the legs.

I would crop all out below midway of the purple/maroon pillow.

Like this:

A bit of physical leveling before the 1x1 crop.

Hope you don't mind.

I suspect Buddha would like the symmetry.

Hi,

I just used the regular P mode.

The crop looks very nice, but I actually wanted the fore-ground to be there to try to give some sense of how huge the statue is.

Someday when I have the chance I will try to get some shots during the day.

Thanks!

Juggernaut

Beautiful Pics...

Loved both...but yes...as mentioned...2 is technically better..!!

the plus point with 1 is that the Buddha fills the frame and looks huger...

All the best with ur P3770..

And do post more :))
