absolutely stunning!!!

That's the kind of stuff I really enjoy here in the forum - it's this magnitude of excellence I enjoy watching.

Thx for sharing - a really rare example of good craftsmanship plus inspiration plus esthetics and beautiful sujet - I was holding my breath watching that.

This kind of combination inspires me and drives me to work harder on my own ideas and images - not that I think that I'll ever could come close but I'd dream to get that far

Far away from bean counters and gear heads - just a gorgeous result!!

It's sad that good postings (like this) seem to get almost no attention whereas the whiners and cheap lens buyers and my gear is doing this or that guys get more attention.

Good taste is a rare thing obviously - would love to seem of that kind of quality here.

Is this not a montage?
In reply to Joe Josephs, Jan 20, 2013

Pardon my ignorance. But how can the moon look so big in the background? Has the rising moon been superimposed on the walker?

Thanks for your answer,

Armando

That is how big the moon "looks" with a 1600mm lens.  The hard part is getting someone lined up with it far enough away to keep them both in the frame (the Earth is rotating fast).  I wonder what camera that was taken with... surely not the crop mode on an APS-C Canon DSLR (which I have done before at 840mm, and it more than fills the frame), but can't say for sure if that is a FF video.

Incredible! I'm always impressed with how easy it is to perceive the movement of the moon through a long lens too.

That is really impressive. It is worth renting the 800mm and the 2x extender just to try something similar.

Thanks for your answer,

Armando.
