It would appear they lack Adobe's apathy.

Also, or maybe rather, Phase One seems to be quite experienced with non-Bayer CFA's. I assume they have a clear advantage here.

maybe because they are Phase One company small team of devs who probably happen to be photographers too in Denmark rather than a army of devs like at Adobe

Phase One is my favorite developer and I would like to try X-Trans RAW pictures with Phase One, just to see whether it would cause any "water-color" effect. Where can I download one or two RAW pictures? Thanks for your help.

Sorry to say, but you are too late to the game. As far as I know, their beta-test phase expired on the 7th, and so it can't be downloaded anymore. They will soon release the full version, and then you can check out the trial. RAW images can be found, for example, in the X-Pro1 review here at DPR.

I already have Phase One C1-7.. Thank you for the lead.

i just hope it won't be LR v5 where we will see the support of X-Trans. I've read somewhere sometime ago an interview with a Fuji rep and he said that they signed NDAs with major SW companies so the support should come soon. It looks like Phase One was quickest, let's see how's Adobe and Apple going to deal with it. I'd love to see full support in LR but I don't think that Adobe would re-write their algorithm just for Fuji's cameras (based on the user base and market share)

Don't just ask. Inform Adobe that Phase One is going to have your money, and LR is already travelling to the trash of the computer. They are not sensible to consumer requests, but they are to $$$.

RawTherapee Support

Interesting, I am about to start an update to RawTherapee to support the x-trans sensor, I presume Fuji would not offer any help to a GPL project?
Does anyone have contact details for Fuji in the UK so I can ask the question?

Why not just reply to the Twitter account from the original message? Good luck, love that you are producing a GPL converter.

Hey Fuji Guys: Forget Adobe and Apple; edit the RFC-EX manual and make some video tutorials on how to use this software already bundled with your cameras...
Here's your image in RFC-EX:

Here you go
Thank you. Phase One says 7.0.1. supports only "Fuji:S5 Pro, S3 Pro, S2 Pro, X100, X10 (preliminary).", no X-Trans files yet. (I could not open RAF files with the 7.0.1.)
