Gidday All,

Welcome to the Sunday Cat!, brought to you from around the world by the loyal team of regulars every Sunday since Anton AK first started the thread on 23rd Sept 2007 and so faithfully continued by John King from 10th August 2008 (and it's good to see you back again lately each week John )

Thank you for joining us

Photos can be more than just art, they can be memories, so come share your picture and stories of your feline companions with us Come one, come all; all cats and cameras welcome. Add your favourite cat shot to the collection. No time limits, taken any time, any place, any camera.

We have had cool cats and hot cats; Canonical cats and Olympian cats; African cats and American cats. There have been Meerkats and mere cats; moggies and high class cats; almost cats and some that I suspect were not really cats at all like that ring-tailed cat that was 'lost', inside cats and OUTSIDE cats; BIG cats and little cats...

you wanted help taking this down right????

Anyone caught peeping at the EXIF data for camera makes and models will be given a flogging with a cat-of-nine-tails ...

AND BTW folks: The Sunday Cat! will (mostly) start when it is still Saturday in the rest of the world, Auckland being GMT +12 hours ... So it is still only around noon "last" Saturday in Hawaii (just for example ... ). With the only preferred rule being no criticism, of course it's OK to give constructively if the poster specifically asks for it; otherwise the above-mentioned rule applies... It's OK to mention what camera and lens you took the shot with... if you like. Love the Cat! thread... Like our beloved companion animals, an opportunity for a romp in the sun, and also to remember those who have so affectionately touched us.

Last Weeks Thread

The weekly news ...

ah some stunning shots last week, and with all that teethy goodness I love in cat photos!!!  Welcome back from your holidays, and a special hi to the newer posters
and, as always THANKS to Robert, Zeev and Stan who keep this thing going each week! (I don't think they missed a single week last year!!!!!)
as for last weeks fishing trip, what's comes after 'disastrous'? lets just pretend I slept all weekend!  .o0O(*is thankful he doesn't have to pay repairs!*)

of course Dusty HAS to catch up on his sleep during the day time, the neighbours cat wakes him up at daylight (5am!) by howling underneath my bedroom window!! GRRR@neighbours cat!

Rosa on top of the clothes dryer
In reply to John King, 4 months ago

Gidday Warren and All

Happy New Year to all.

Just going through all my images (don't even ask why ... ) and found this one of Rosa. She likes this spot, as can look down on us, or jump up into the open space and hide behind the roof beam ...

The top lighting comes from the roof window in the laundry.

Nice one of your white villain, Warren.

When it gets over 30°C here, ours go into hibernation under the blankets ...
It was 42.4°C here day before yesterday. Another hot one tomorrow. Thankfully the nights are fairly cool in Melbourne - not like Brisbane.

BTW, apparently Antarctica put on 0.8% of extra weight of ice in 2012. Since it contains over 90% of the world's ice, and around 80% of the world's fresh water, maybe the UN IPCC's political pronouncements on climate change are just that - so much political hot air ...

Thank you John,

Found all your images or still browsing and looking through the backup/archieves ? Aways a problem how to set up your bacups so the change of loosing something is minimal, and ths data is consistant.

Good luck and greetings from a not so wintery Holland (about 10 Celcius and sunny) An idea about our weather see the link below in Dutch but images are images isn't it ?

Blitzer's marking is outstanding, the bowtie, snowshoe, white dot on the nose..etc make him standout.

Happy New Years!

Now move, I can't see the birds at the feeder!!

Marco being a hunter...

RJ guards the door...

RJ being a door stop.

Both essential skills in cats.

Very nice video, Stan!

With all that hair, it's very nice of Chyna to help Dave out.
