One of my D700 photos on exhibit in London

I'm really excited that a print of one of my D700 photos is on exhibit at the moment at the National Theatre in London. It's there as one of the commended finalists in the UK's largest annual landscape photography competition - "Take a View" run by Charlie Waite.
Exhibition: http://www.nationaltheatre.org.uk/discover/exhibitions/take-a-view-0
It's the colour one below of a wooden shelter on the victorian pier in Southport.
Together with the b&w power station photo, which was also taken with a D700, and a D40 shot of a glass building in Manchester http://www.ianbramham.com/photo_4828802.html all 3 photos are also published in the book of this year's finalists
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Landscape-Photographer-Year-Collection-AA/dp/0749573651
Power Station at Dusk, Merseyside, England
D700, 70-300vr lens at 125mm, 1/25th sec (tripod) at f5.6, iso 200
Southport Pier, Merseyside, England
D700, 16-35vr at 16mm, 2 min exposure at f8, iso200
It's the first year that I've entered this very popular photography competition as I had never really considered my images as being traditional 'landscape' photography so I was really surprised but delighted to get 3 in the book like that.

Well done Ian, must be cool to have your photos submitted to such a book. Great photos, and I particularly like the shelter shot.

Yes, I'm going to the Prague Flickr meet together with my wife and son - in fact we just bought our flight tickets last week. It would be really great if you are able to make it too!

It's my first time published in a commercially produced photography book so, yes, it was very exciting!

Thanks Leif!
I prefer the b&w too but I submitted a variety of shots to the competition and it's just the luck of the draw in terms of what they decided to print for the exhibition.
Occasionally I consider going over exclusively to b&w (at least for what I show on the website) but I do still enjoy taking photos that work better in colour than b&w.
