Color or BW?

I'm just not feeling very decisive today.

I do prefer b/w. I would suggest lightening the yellow and darkening the blue.

Please post by hitting "reply" to the first post in this thread, making sure you are in threaded view.

Otherwise, nobody is going to see your pictures and you interrupt the flow of the thread.

If you go into threaded view now, you will see that your posting shows up as a comment on Still's photo.   That is not where you want it.

Thanks for your cooperation.

You don't need to be told that this is a very strong composition, with the man squeeaed by a curved back being squeezed into a corner of the background.   His look says that he does not feel squeezed down by his diability, and I like that kind of photo, as you know.

It's hard to say on an image this size, but could it be that something is stressing the image technically, either dealing with nearly noonday sun in the mideast or else cropping or a little overexposure or maybe even a oversharpening?   It seems a little bit crinkly or crunchy to my non-expert eye.

thanks a lot

Your comment about something disturbing in the picture is important for me. As I usually add some contrast and “structure” in order to get more punch and better b&w. maybe this is sometimes exaggerated. So I post here another version very near to the original. Does it look better?

Btw

This man doesn’t know that I’m taking his photograph. He looks at my eyes [as he felt I’m following him] while I’m shooting from hip as usual.

I don't see a large difference between the two versions.  Maybe one of the more technical experts can chime in on this.

in my everyday life I rarely meet this combination of colors: The green olive of the shop, the orange box inside, and the guy’s coat. Very nice. No option for b&w.

Second. The picture is divided. The left side with its vivid colors. The right side naturally saturated. And because the right side is about a background, so this is a blessed combination.

Frank, do you agree  with my observation?
